Dining at the Wyndham Grand Resort

The Rio Mar area has several excellent dining options. Here are some of our favorites, besides the Kioscos.

Palio

While we like some of the other options outside the resort better, if you don't feel like getting in the car, the Wyndham is a nice beachside walk from Ocean Sixteen. The best and our favorite restaurant there is Palio.

St Regis Bahia Beach Resort

Head back north toward Highway 66, and turn right on Hwy 187 - Bahia Beach will be on your right a few miles down the road. You MUST have a dinner reservation to enter the resort. There is very high-end, upscale dining at fern, and casual beachside dining at molasses. We really like both, and in fact got engaged on the beach after a beautiful Molasses dinner!

La Cava Del Terrior

Head south (left) on Hwy 3, and the next exit to the right (signs for Carabali Excursions) is the road up to La Cava. It is a restaurant and wine bar, and has gorgeous views of the rainforest and down to Rio Mar Resort and the ocean.

Richie's Cafe

Take a right outside of the resort, and go to the top of the hill and you'll find Richie's on your right hand side. You will have amazing views of the Rio Mar Resort, the golf course, and the ocean.

W Sushi

The sushi rolls are very creative and tasty, combining Caribbean flavors and flair with traditional sushi fare. When you get to Hwy 3, just take a right and in less than a block you will see W on the right hand side.

Don Pepe's

This is a cozy and small restaurant that has traditional Puerto Rican dishes that are very tasty. On weekends they also have live music playing. The locals in the area love this place because of the authenticity of the cuisine.

Lluvia Deli Bar & Artefacto

This place is a MUST if you’re craving a great breakfast. It is a wonderful little family run restaurant, all local freshly made organic fare, with herbs and vegetables from their own gardens. Their coffees and breakfasts are AWESOME! It is right across Hwy 3 (go straight across, turn right - there is a parking lot a block down to the right. Only park on the left (rainforest) side of the street.

Casual Dining

The 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar and Grill is at the Margaritaville Resort which is within walking distance.

Iguanas Cocina Puertorriqueña is at the clubhouse which is also walking distance.

Marmalade is the #1 rated restaurant in all of Puerto Rico, located at El Viejo San Juan. Outstanding service and prix fixe multi-course menu. You must make reservations well in advance to get a table.

Santaella is in Santurce, San Juan. Locals highly recommend this restaurant, so we do too. The bartenders there are known for winning bartending championships, so we definitely recommend you go during happy hour. This restaurant also requires reservations well in advance.
